I thought this day would never come.  Being very young at heart and in my mind, being called an Oupa (grandfather/lolo) was something that would happen in the future, yes distant future. With Sian (my daughter) falling pregnant last year, the reality of my new role was eminent but it still seemed time was on my side as nine months of carrying before giving birth, seemed ages away.  But with everything in life, time doesn't stand still.  Over the past nine months I noticed the change in Sian - the pregnant look.  She looked so stunning as a pregnant woman and carried it so well.  Every time I looked at her I experienced an amazing feeling of being so proud and that her and Junior (her husband) were about to commence a whole new generation. With my busy ministry travel schedule, I wanted to make sure I was in Christchurch for the birth of my granddaughter. By the way, since Sian fell pregnant and we knew it would be a baby girl, I decided to name her … yes, it had to be associated with my name.  I referred to the unborn baby girl as Bernadette. I had a lot of fun...

Thank you for being a part of our lives.  We so appreciate your friendship, love, encouragement and prayer.  Without people like you, we would be unable to fulfill God’s plan and purposes. Thank you for continuing to believe in us and for your ongoing support. At the beginning of May 2015, we celebrate our 15th anniversary at Every Nation Christchurch. We are truly blessed to serve God as church planters and missionaries in the nations. Time flies, when you're having fun!  We thank God for every changed life over the years. During October 2013, we were asked to take over the senior leadership of the church in Melbourne called Every Nation Melbourne. For the past 15 months we have continued to lead Every Nation Christchurch while at the same time leading the church in Melbourne Australia. We are so thankful for both teams (Christchurch and Melbourne). We have experienced growth in both churches. Would you pray about being a part of our miracle in Melbourne? For the past 15 months, we have being staying in a very basic motel which has its limitations. We believe the time is right to lease a small studio apartment which will allow us to focus a bit more on the...

Have you ever reflected on the various types of pain Jesus endured as He went to the cross? He was beaten with the cat of nine tails - this is truly horrific.  Imagine what happened to His body - Cat of nine tails pain.  A crown of thorns was placed upon His head - thorn pain.  Nails were driven through His hands and feet as they nailed Him to the cross - nail pain.  He was pierced in His side by a spear - spear pain.  He was verbally abused - e.g. the crowd shouted “crucify Him” - mental and emotional pain.  On the cross, Jesus felt abandoned by His father when He said , “Father why have you forsaken me” - mental and emotional pain. This is just some of the pain and anguish our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ suffered for each one of us. Jesus did this all because of His love for mankind.  John 3:16 says  “For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. In life, we all experience various degrees of pain.  Sometime its ’nail pain’,  ’thorn pain’, ’spear pain’ or ‘cat...
